FAR ENOUGH DOWN

FAR ENOUGH DOWN

My Daddy was a son of a bitch

we always said we’d plant him in a ditch

We were pretty well known but my daddy wasn’t rich

When he died mama said it is what it is

Uh huh

Ooh ooh yeah

He was the meanest man who ever drew a breath

Mama was probably better off by herself

Well he like to have beat her half to death

now he’s gone and there aint nothing left

Uh huh

Ooh ooh yeah

In an unmarked grave they laid him in the ground

But six feet under ain't far enough down

We had his service in a church

Mama said that it probably couldn’t hurt

But it probably would help cause my daddy was cursed

We always said he was lower than the dirt

uh huh

Ooh ooh yeah

In an empty field on the far side of town

Six feet under aint far enough down

I've always heard that Hell is right beneath our feet

But it’d be awful nice if that was guaranteed

'Cause we all know where daddy is bound

And six feet under ain't far enough down

My Daddy was a son of a bitch

we always said we’d plant him in a ditch

We were pretty well known but daddy wasn’t rich

When he died Mama said it is what it is
